7 Years Living in a Toyota Tacoma: 12,000FT in the San Juan Mountains, Incredible Mining Ruins

Happy Saturday Morning Everyone! I hope your weekend is off to a great start. In this video I check out some incredible mining ruins just above 12K feet. This complex is called the Golconda Mine and the Boarding House (pictured in the thumbnail) is the largest of its kind still standing in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. Self-sufficient homesteading means needing no outside help in satisfying one's basic needs, especially about the production of food, and homesteading means living a lifestyle of self-sufficiency. So by those definitions, the key to homesteading is learning to be self-sufficient.

Brian, I love this stuff...brings back memories of when I used to take my toyota 4x4 truck on trips like this in the Colorado mountains back in the 1980's.
I had a topper on it with a mattress in the bed and would camp out in that much like you do now. Keep it coming. - Don in Denver
