I play the highland pipes and once had a go and demo from someone with a set of Uilleann pipes and couldn't make head nor tail of them. The guy described the fingering of each note to me much like Chris has in the video but added a line that I thought was hilarious and sums the Uilleann pipes up perfectly, "you should finger it like this but it depends on the mood the pipes are in, sometimes you need to finger it like this to get it to work" 😂😂.

You should have ended the video by playing a full CHROMATIC scale -- cdefgabc, plus the sharps and flats. Can this full scale be played on the Uilleann pipes? Can you play a simple tune like "Happy Birthday" or "Autumn Leaves"?. Or is the Uilleann pipes confined to playing "Amazing Grace" only?
