Database updates are now safer, simpler, and faster with Amazon RDS Blue/Green Deployments. Using Blue/Green Deployments, you can now make database updates, such as major or minor version upgrades, schema changes, maintenance updates, and more in Amazon Aurora MySQL-Compatible Edition, Amazon RDS for MySQL, and Amazon RDS for MariaDB. Blue/Green Deployments has switchover guardrails that help you to switchover in as fast as a minute with zero data loss and no application changes. In this session, learn more about Blue/Green Deployments and how you can use it to make updates.

We can't reduce storage in green env? That's a major setback. Also i don't see proper robust rollback architecture.

Can we make changes to green before switchover? As in Dev environment our db which is not RDS has changed and new updates are written, we don't want directly push those update from dev to prod RDS for safety, instead is it possible to push the dev updates to green and once test is done iniate switchover
