Method #1: Carry Your Skates by the Strap on the Back

Some straps like what I have on my K2 skates here are pretty thick, which makes for comfortable carries while others are quite thin like this Flying Eagle skate here.

This method is your best bet when your skating spot isn't too far from your home or apartment.

Method #2: Use the Skate's Laces to Carry Them

Simply tie the laces of each skate into a knot and carry your skates. If your skates are too heavy, this may not be the best way to haul them around.

Method #3: Use a Carabiner

Open the carabiner, put the strap in, close the carabiner and start walking. Some carabiners like this one here have thick rubber coated handles which makes carrying my skates quite comfortable.

Method #4: Carry your Skates in a Backpack

Some backpacks let you carry your inline skates in side pockets so you can put your pads, helmet, socks, and even clothes in the inner compartments.

I sometimes toss my skates in this backpack with the wheels facing up. You wanna put wheel covers on your skates though.

Method #5: Use a Skate-specific Bag

One of the best ways to carry inline skates is tossing them in one of those triangular shaped bags. Many of them are roomy enough to hold all the gear you need for your session or training.

If you travel a lot to all kinds of far away destinations, this strategy is your best bet.

Method #6: Carry Your Skates By their Velcro Straps

Hook the velcro fastener of one skate to the other skate to form a sorta handle. If the straps are wide and thick, this trick works pretty well and won't cut off circulation.

Method #7: Use a Skate Leash

Some skaters use a leash to hang their roller skates or inline skates over the shoulder. You wanna cover the wheels so your skates won't smear dirt and filth on your clothes. Moxi Roller Skates sell such a leash.

Method #8: Use a Reusable Shopping Bag

When in a hurry, the best trick to transport your rollerblades to your favorite skating spot is to use a regular reusable shopping bag.
