I have hearing and general ear problems and one of the things my ENT (ear nose and throat) doctor told me is you should not be cleaning your ears. Ear wax in most people is self cleaning. Bugs don’t like ear wax so it stops them from making a home in your ear. Also cue tips can scratch or break in your ear they can also just push wax further down into your ear blocking your ear drum. Please please please do not use cue tips to clean your ears you don’t need to and they do more harm then good. If you are like me and often have way to much wax that your body can’t self clean go to a doctor and they have a tool to clean it in a non harming way. You can also look online for wax cleaning tools sold by audiologists. You can permanently damage your ears by using cue tips so please don’t. Okay that’s my rant of the day over.
