Hello Erik, I am facing an issue with Vuex actions. I have an action that makes an api call to fetch a json object and set it to the store (state, initially the value is an empty object). But when I dispatch that action in a component and try to display that store (state) object using a v-for I still get an empty object. What I want to do is wait till the action has set the received response into the store. I have tried async await, then/catch but still couldn't make it work. For the time being I am using a setTimeout but I am sure there are better ways to do the same. If you could please address this via a YT Shorts.

Note: I am dispatching the action inside a mounted hook.

I absolutely love Vue, but the reason I don't use it on the frontend is mainly because there's no component library comparable to Chakra or Mantine in Vue Land. Before you recommend something, I've already tried Vuetify, Quasar, Naive UI, PrimeVue, and I'm too lousy a UI designer to build something from scratch with Tailwind :D

Thanks for the content -- as a new developer, I didn't know this survey was a thing but have definitely looked for such data in the past when trying to figure out what framework to start with. Love your videos - I have found them to be incredibly helpful while learning to build apps.... could definitely use one on fine-grained access with

Hey Erik, don't mind the haters. Definitely appreciate the commentary and you sharing your research

The title's asking the question of whether or not JS is dying. It's not making a statement that it is or isn't.

He then explores the subject further. I think it's a valid question to ask with new tech coming out all the time, or at least one a noob in the industry would ask for example before they transition into a career in web dev and find out JS is or isn't dying.

Considering Javascript is the ONLY programming language available in-browser, no, Javascript isn't dead, ALL of those are just javascript libraries... Do front-end devs not know what their libraries are coded in these days?
