Fiber cement products are very popular and a staple in the building industry in Houston because it is termite free, it's very durable. The low maintenance for the buyer after they move into the homes, it is something that buyers come to expect to have on a quality home in Houston.

We feel that by using a fiber cement product that we're covering 80% of the home with a product that is environmentally friendly. We choose Allura because of the look. The grains look like real wood. It's a very, very appealing product. The warranty is a 50 year warranty, it's outstanding.

It's far superior to anything else out there on the market. And we feel that it gives our homeowners added value, after they move into the home. They also feel like a small hometown company. We have someone that calls, talks to us. We actually see a person on site.

But we also know we have the national backing of the big company that can able handle our needs. We have all the product we needed. There was never a shortage. Which is a very big thing for us. So to be able to have a product, we have a quality product.

We also have a local person that's gonna be there for us when we need them. Is a very big, important thing. We feel we go above and beyond to put products into the homes that's going to benefit our buyers and we also feel Allura does the same thing with their products.

How much bow is typical with alura. I bought Alura plain finish planks several year ago. They have been stored in my garage whenI received the order. I’m installing now and finding the planks are not straight and bowed by 1/4 to 3/8” over 12’. Is this normal? How should I approach installation? I’ve had to scrap 58 linear feet of material due to the bow in the planks

This brand and product has failed on three structures that I had sided.  The siding is contracting leaving gaps and pulling away the caulk.  I'm in the Midwest.  The company had denied my claim without even sending a rep out to look at it.  The retailer of Allura Maxtile has told me they have received numerous complaints from consumers and he does not believe that it works in our climate yet they keep selling it.  In the meantime, I have to hire a lawyer or be out $13K.
