Fuel or Water coming out of Exhaust manifolds?! - Check it out

Couple of very good customers are getting ready to build some engines for some boats.

Per routine, we check the basics of the engine and then fire them up outside of the boat to see how they run. After knowing our scope, we move forward 👍

This video today is to show our audience how water flows out of the exhaust.
We have seen confusion in

“is it fuel or water coming out of the exhaust” - commenters

Boat engines utilize an impeller to create suction to to get water into the motor
Once it travels everywhere it needs to, it plumbs to “jacketed” exhaust manifolds where water exits the collector with exhaust gas(CO2)
This is done in a way to keep water from reverting. Once installed in a boat, typically the exhaust will also have internal flappers, some boats do external flaps too.
This is a very light explanation
This is considered open cooling system
Boats do not have radiators

Why don't headers in a car need to be water cooled?
