@TK Bay thanks for this video, Google hasn't given a clear direction to the specs required to use Daydream. I have seen Daydream working on the Nexus 5X running 7.1.1 beta so I'm wondering if they will release the app with a delay so that people will buy the Pixel phones.

Also, does the pixel not cover the entire space for the lenses? Some people said the screen wasn't big enough and light bled in. Thoughts?

I got a Moto Z and I just did the official Nougat update on it and yea daydream is working perfectly on it.

So is it worth it? By that I mean is it really going to give me full immersion and make me feel out of this world. *Never used VR but buying it mostly for my parents to see their expressions when they wear it* I was thinking about getting it in 2 weeks but I never really had a first person experience with it.

And does Google maps look amazing?

Good review. I have pixel and this VR headset. I can clearly see pixel while watching video using pixel phone. Not impressed by video quality. But overall experience is very good. How does video feel in pixel XL ? Is it worth moving to pixel XL phone for VR ? How did you cast your VR video to TV ?

Nice review. It does look very basic though compared to Gear VR, that elastic strap to hold in the phone seems quite flimsy and the game graphics of the ones you showed are extremely basic looking, like a pc game from the 1990's, cardboard was the same, but I suppose better stuff will come. Over all I think the Gear VR is light years ahead. Also not having a focus wheel is a big omission. Many people won't be able to use it.

pixel xl runs way to hot imo. The headset ends up putting too much pressure on your forehead. When I take it off, my forehead takes a long time to get rid of the redness. The viewing quality is great and the remote makes things much more fun. I do have to recalibrate the remote often.

for us old farts with one weak eye, its a bit of a downer having no Diopter Adjustment, perhaps it will come in daydream 2 .
the other thing i was wondering was how did it go watching a movie ? to me this would be the main attraction,
does it make you feel sick ?
will it over heat in a short time ?
if you get a chance to sus these out TK that would be great .

Thats not worth the price with those small lenses and no adjustability for the lenses. I got a VR headset with bigger lenses which has adjustable depth and side to side adjustability and it came with a free hard case for €24 today.
