I Gave India a Second Chance (After 7 Years)

HEY GUYS! THIS VIDEO IS LONG OVERDUE! After nearly a half-decade, I have decided to come back to India and give it another chance (because on my last trip, I had an awful time...) I was in a fatal bus crash at 2 in the morning where two people died, and on top of that, I got severe food poisoning which led me to lose over 12 pounds.

So I came back as my new 32-year-old self to give it another chance and see if I would like it. I'll be spending 11 days in the country, attempting to shoot 4 videos for my main YouTube channel, and we are kicking it off right here with my first 24 hours in Kolkata (one of the craziest cities on earth!)

Have you ever been to India? What are your thoughts? Also, let me know if you have any recommendations while in India this time around - I'd love to hear from you!

You can't judge India by visiting only 1 city. This land is full of culture and diversity. 🇮🇳

Poor neighbourhoods, including slums, exist in Kolkata. However, going to Kolkata and visiting mostly those areas is extremely odd. The visit is missing out on the various glorious aspects of Kolkata, including the richness of its art, literature, music, sports, cuisine, and architecture. It is the cultural capital of India. This video is similar to what would be the case if someone went to New York and visited only the slum-like places.

As much as I like Drew, most foreign vloggers always just portray the slums and the poor side of India like literally always lol. They've got to show all the nasty stuff as much as possible when there's literally so much good stuff out there.

I from Russia 🇷🇺, I went to India recently It was different experience going through the chaotic streets, honkings every where, too crowded and a lot of traffic.. I was overwhelmed by the surroundings, and the foods in India were so delicious but little bit spicy.. Overall It was a amazing experience, no country can give a complete experience like India 🇮🇳..

India can definitely be an intense and a crazy experience and definitely isn’t for everyone but there’s so much cultural to this amazing country that I think people should at least give it a chance.

Kolkata is not in the North East of India. It is in the East of India. Kolkata is called the City of Joy.
Drew, I want to suggest you to tour entire Kolkata to get the original essence. You will feel the essence of music, poetry, culture, craze for sports (specially Football) in the air of Kolkata.

I am in India as of this comment on a 7-day trip to Delhi. This is my second time in India and I am hungry for more. My first trip back in 2016 was to Mumbai where I spent most of my time in Powai. I was fascinated by the culture, the sights, the nature, and the contrast between old and new parts of the city as well as its rich, middle class, and slum areas. My best memory from the trip was one hell of a hike in the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, which is a recommendation I cannot make enough if you ever find yourself in Mumbai, especially the view from the top, which is surreal to say the least! I just concluded a full day in Agra yesterday and looked at a few monuments and local artisan workshops which was very rich and which I also recommend to anyone coming to Agra in addition to visiting the Taj Mahal, of course. My discovery of the massive land of India is still in its infancy and I look forward to the next trip! The one thing I still cannot get used to is the aggressive driving, be it here in Gurgaon (where I'm staying), in Agra yesterday, or in Powai a few years back! The excessive use of horns becomes background noise that you get used to and filter out eventually.

I do not understand the reason for anyone to go there .. Go to Jim Corbett National park, Leh, Ladakh, Shimla Enfield Bullet ride, Go to North East, Surdarbans in Bengal, Taj, then head to Ajanta Ellora Caves, go Hampi, Badami Caves, on way to Goa, Bandipur Forests trek to Ooty, Kerala a lot, Tamil Nadu Temple sculptures. If you in India, it is all about Sculptures, Chep Skilling in Shimla, Gir Lions, Tigers etc

Great to see you visit my city Drew.
Also I can tell you've had a very positive experience with Muslims throughout the world which is evident in your other videos and when you mistook the kind hearted Hindu man for Muslim when he refused to let you pay, since its so common for Muslims to show such a gesture.

Love your content Drew. Shalom from India 😊.
