#Sanditon is a British historical period drama television (BBC) series adapted by Andrew Davies from an unfinished manuscript by Jane Austen and starring Rose Williams and Theo James in the lead roles.

Theo broke my heart. That ending was so brutal I was in complete shock. I don't think I could recover. Stopped watching TV shows all together.

Sanditon is a great series. One of the best I have seen. Richly made, excellent cast, director, costumes, everything. I often watch episodes before bedtime, especially when the day has been rough, cannot get enough of Sydney and Charlotte. I do hope we shall be given a second and third and fourth season.

S1 was absolutely spectacular! Too bad it didn’t get an ending Austen adaptation deserves but there is an opportunity for either a whole new show or a film with a proper Austen ending or maybe even - with a good script - Theo and Rose can be persuaded to continue and finish this beautiful story they started telling.
It is a long shot but you never know. The fake seasons 2&3 were largely ignored by public and anyone with any taste (and even producers) and consequently it is easy to forget their existence altogether…Fans are still here waiting for Sidney and Charlotte’s story to end with HEA….

Why so many people hate Sidney is beyond me... he's a man broken by life (kinda like Mr. Rochester from Jane Eyre) and he's encountered with the naive young girl (which I don't blame her for and make no mistake I absolutely love her), thus he gets a bit irritated (rightfully so from his perspective), but inside he's a very good man IMO. He loves his family dearly and brings the ultimate sacrifice for them at the end of S1... though it's really unfair towards Charlotte.


In the end I have to say the character that really vexes me the most is Tom, his brother. I mean that man is reckless, irresponsible and ultimately, it's his fault the main couple coudn't be together. And he always gets away with his mistakes so easily. Urgh. His wife is golden AND the character I pity the most...

Every women in Sanditon is amazing, strong willed even though flawed. Sanditon has powerful women..Charlotte, Miss Lambe, Esther, Lady Denham, even Clara and Mary

What a BS ending!!! Loved every second of the show, but the ending ruined it 🙈 I don't think Sidney was evil or bad, just a man of his time trying to save his brother by sacrificing him self (and hurt Charlotte too). But this is not a Jane Austen ending, and the writers did a terrible job with the ending...think I need to watch my P&P 1995 to set my world straight again 🙈
