I'm not sure if this was intentional, but I appreciate how many positive reviews we've been getting this year. Don't get me wrong, Fantano trashing a bad album is amazing entertainment, but I also enjoy him introducing me to great new music.

I just got introduced to this band's unbelievable music this afternoon and am head over heels in love.

One critique of the review's mention of 'You Always Want To Bomb The Middle East'. I don't think the lyrics are an absurd nothingness. The album is fun and surreal as hell, but some songs carry a dry message and this is one such...I think it's a dig at politicos that lust for war rather than, you know, enjoying cheese together and learning each other's languages. Best track on an album with an insanely high bar for quality tracks.

This record edges out The Weeknd as my favourite for the year so far, in much the same fashion as Really From's album did to Lil Bad X's wonderful debut last year (P.S. GO LISTEN TO REALLY FROM, THEY'RE ALSO INDESCRIBABLY FANTASTIC).

anyone who knows Cheekface would know that 'Noodles' is a relevant song since their first album 'Therapy Island' had 'House Shoes' which was just the phrase 'house shoes' on repeat

I saw these guys open for Ozma in December 2019 and they were FANTASTIC. Been a fan for about three years now. Was shocked when Fantano said he hadn't heard of them on a stream a year or two back. Don't Get Hit By A Car is a banger.

I love how many genres they were able to put into this record and still make it sound like it was a new fresh enjoyable record you hadn't heard before, because so many times you see artists putting too many genres on their and making it not sound enjoyable and trying to saturated all the bad juices out of the record.

There's a presidents of the united states of America/they might be giants vibe about this band. I do think the tunes/riffs aren't as engaging as the lyrics and vocals. I couldn't remember a riff after a couple of listens, but could easily recall vocal passages. Generally enjoyed listening experience though.
