NCT-1 Portable LAN-Tester

NCT-1 Portable LAN-Tester NCT-1 is a portable LAT-tester that is used to check whether the cables are up and running. The delivery set includes the NCT-1 tester itself and an external terminator. NCT-1 can be used to test the following cable types: twisted pair, coaxial cable. Before we start operation, a 9V battery needs to be inserted into the battery section. Now the mode regulator is to be set to the On or S position. This will be followed by a LED power indicator lighting up on the front panel of the device. The product is all ready to go. And remember, cables must never be tested when powered. To test long cables, or cables that have already been mounted and have their ends at quite a distance from each other, can be tested with the help of an external terminator. To do that connect one end of the cable to the output slot of the tester, and the other one - to the input slot on the external terminator. Using the side switch select the required operation mode - ON - automatic operation mode, S - slow automatic operation mode. The wires within the cable are tested one by one, the switching between the wires is automatic. If a twisted pair cable is put together correctly, the successful transmission of a test signal is indicated with the help of paired LED indicators. The cable tested here is operational, since the indicators on the main case and on the external terminators are identical. If the cable is put together incorrectly, the indicator readings will be inconsistent. The portable tester NCT-1 will help to quickly identify faults in the cable network, test the cable for breaks, short circuits, check the integrity of the screen and the correctness of cabling.
