Its kinda funny, you can see the car crash sequence was very much a CGI special effect, because of the cartoony physical movement of the car and the fact that the way it crashed combined with the spinning frontwheel at the end seemed very much intentional. then hardcut to the real car landing on its side. I know they probably didn't have much of a budget but you can tell they were trying to make it at least half-seemless, despite the fact that its an over the top comedy.
To be fair crashing a couple cars this way hoping some of them will land back on there wheels is expensive, and maybe they even tried that but then said fuck it we'll fix it in post. Although hiring a CGI company can sometimes be more expensive then a practical solution.
