Revlon used to make a kit of little papers and you used a type of clear polish with a high resin content and worked the patch onto the nail. It was brilliant and lasted weeks. One hint, rather than cut the teabag, tear the edges then it’s easier to blend the little fibres into your nail.

Tried this for the first time today on a complete break (the tip broke fully off). It worked amazing!! I glued the nail back on, glued on the teabag, dried it, finished with some nail envy and polish and it looks better than the others now! lol. Thanks for sharing.

Magnificent!!!  I didn't have nail glue or the tea bag, used superglue and a coffee filter.  Worked like a charm!

Dear Meliney,

I first used your video to repair my nail on January 13, 2020. All I have done since then is recoat at the time where some nail POLISH had chipped a little bit, but no problem at all with the area where the damage or the patch was. This is Feb 16, and the patch is still as good as the day I applied it. I didn't have nail glue, and I used superglue. But I did what you said.
Better yet, I've had FULL USE of my finger since the patch first had time to dry, well, and NOTHING I HAVE DONE has caused any pain from it at all. I have stopped after some chores, just to be amazed that it didn't hurt at all. In spite of using that finger, and bumping into things with it.


Last night, I got another tear on the other hand, and went to my "History" to find your video.
I WAS SHOCKED AT THE DATE I HAD FIRST USED IT.
The damaged area is not off the nail bed yet, so I still have the SAME patch.
My new tear is similar. And VOILA', I have just applied my new patch.
THIS time, I was sloppy with the size of the paper, it was much larger than needed, but I didn't realize til it was already in the glue that this meant that it had to lay over the curve of the nail. Unfortunately, it wrinkled as it did, my attempts to smooth it didn't work. So now, I will have an interesting job of the buffing, to get a smooth finish.
But I cannot thank you enough.
I had tried super glue a few times since it came out, and professional nail glue, too, but they just didn't "grab" enough to work. The paper makes all the difference. I am so happy.

I did this but with the little piece of gauze that comes on a bandaid and it worked awesome ! The fabric is a little thicker ! Coffee filters work great too!

omg i love you for this! I've been a nail biter for 22 years and finally a few months ago i stopped and my nails grew out long and one of mine just broke under the tip and i wanted to cry! I'm definitely going to try this!!
