you also forget to mention when your getting your first programming job no one hires you as a programmer. you go through an internship first. so the better way would be searching for an internship. very very small percentage of programmers get hired out of school. it is usually into an internship for a long time. it takes even longer to actually get good at programming to become a junior. 4 years to 6 years of college, intern your junior or senior year and then sometimes years of job searching
