Quiche Becomes King Charles' Official Coronation Dish

King Charles selected quiche with "spinach, broad beans and tarragon" as his official coronation dish. Although the dish is affordable and easy to make, many are saying the royal recipe is not very good. The Washington Post even calls it "a royal mess." Head chef at London's iconic Dorchester Hotel, Tom Booton, recommends baking the pastry crust for 35 minutes instead of 15 minutes. Also, he suggests replacing half the milk in the filling with cream cheese.

I haven't made a quiche in years, one thing about a quiche is that you got to get the pastry flaky inside and crispy on the outside, and you can stuff it with anything from vegetables to meat and cheese and it is delicious 😋

I worked as a caterer and we'd make mini quiche. They were delicious and had crispy crust 😋

It’s delicious with cream, smoked Gouda, and sautéed spinach added into the mixture. The trick is to let it set about 15 minutes before cutting into it, in fact in France they might let it set an hour before cutting into it. Serve with some sliced avocado, or some fried green tomatoes. 😋😋😋
