The Hidden Leaf Village really did treat Naruto like absolute trash. Naruto was the vessel for Kurama, but he was the vessel unwillingly, and it was only because he was the vessel of Kurama that the attack on Konoha ended that day. Despite this, the villagers didn’t parade him around as a hero, or treat him with the respect a hero deserves. No, they didn’t even treat him with the respect that is basic for a simple human being. Naruto’s dreams, and his ninja way, his duty to his village saw him sacrifice time and again for the village, despite the village not wanting anything to do with him. While training on the turtle island just before his debut in the Fourth Shinobi World War, he encountered a dark part of himself that told him that, even though he was now a hero, he still secretly bore a grudge against the village. And as he fought Sasuke at the bridge in the Land of Iron, even Naruto stated that it so easily could have been Naruto who had chosen the path of darkness instead of Sasuke. So that makes me wonder, what would have happened if Naruto really HAD chosen the path of darkness instead of Sasuke, and had left the village? I suppose that’s what we’re going to see today. Grab your popcorn and a blanket, let’s get into it. But first…

Here's a few suggestions on future ideas to explore:
1) Sakura (and or Sasuke to be there if Itachi goes after Naruto again) joins Naruto and Jiraya to go recruit Tsunade for the Hokage position. Maybe Sakura could have an interest in healing much sooner too?
2. What if Hinata's Parents tried to foster a better relationship with Neji as a kid as penitence for Neji's dad's death? I think it's be funny for Naruto to try and date Hinata while her cousin is more of an intimidating big brother figure in her life.
