Think you might be gluten sensitive? Take the quiz:

We get this every year...it is one of our top questions. I went and ate at (insert family member here)'s house, now I've gotten glutened - what do I do? How can I feel better quickly?

It is very normal when going gluten free to "challenge" the premise. It is part of the learning curve. Once you deviate and fall off the wagon and have those negative experiences, it is much easier to fully commit.

We all face these challenges. If you did deviate, learn the lesson that comes along with it.

I made the mistake of telling the host of the party only 4 days before the party that I can't eat anything with gluten or grains. I should have told her a month in advance. There was so much gluten everywhere: bagels, cakes, pasta, & dishes the guests brought.
But at least she had a little time to get me nuts, and grain free chips, and hummus. & I was able to pick at the cheese & fruit plates.
So yeah, you got to make and bring a gluten free dish even if the party isn't a potluck. Unfortunately, I'm just gonna have to always plan ahead.
However, this party was difficult because it was out of town.

Good info once again! Thanks for sharing! Bringing knowledge to our ignorance. In Ayurveda we talk about crimes against wisdom. When we know better, but we choose what is not best for us. With more wisdom, the greater our responsibility. Had a GF and DF Thanksgiving and it was delicious!! Planning is KEY to live GF and eat nutrient dense meals for our individual body

I think the word Stupid is unfair. Sometimes you get caught out and there is literally nothing you can eat that isn't full of gluten. A lot of hosts almost think of it as a challenge in a negative way and don't provide any food you can eat. Travelling is a nightmare. I'm gluten and yeast intolerant. That is a special kind of pain. The yeast makes me sicker than the gluten. I've learn to BYO.

Generally what's the maximum gluten-free time to understand if you are reversing an autoimmune disease?
Thanks

I can't tell the difference between a mistake and not. Lessons learned, but was it really "learning", or did I just end up as a golem in a script. Don't give up your humanity I guess, whatever that means.
