I do enjoy the Fairy loot boxes though do think that the adult book are young adult masquerading as adult often the authors are known YA authors branching into Adultl I don't think they are true Adult book but still happy to receive them for now. I do also feel that a lot of the books are the first in series and would prefer more stand alone books as I like to read complete series and like my series to match they do often bring out the sequels but I haven't always been able to purchase them as they are always a limited run

I really loved both adult books. I think they did a great job with the design choices and the consistency. Adventures of Amina is one of my fav editions this year so far, the endpapers, the foiling, the redesign were perfect for me. The foxglove king, I can see why people wanted a bit more from the dust jacket but I LOVED the print and layered foiling on the hardback, it makes for a lovely effect, so super happy with the FL Adult books.

The YA box however. Very disappointed. I’ve been subscribed for 2 years and we’re just not getting the same great designs from them - especially in regards to the items. I have a few stand out fandom items, character items or general bookish items on my shelves from 2 years ago. But the last 6 months or so it just feels like they’re using boring clip art flowers and basic font quotes and slapping it on a random item. It’s doesn’t make me feel like I’m part of the book world. I’ve decided to cancel my YA subscription 😢

I can't afford a subscription box right now but eventually I would like to subscribe to the Broken Binding or something similar. Fairyloot and Illumicrate are a bit too young for me. Even the adult box seems to always choose books that toe the YA line a bit too close. I don't dislike YA but I don't want to pay extra for a special edition of it.
