If anyone is sitting their A-Level History Tudor Exam this June, which I know many of my subscribblers are, then this video might be useful for you as it covers the basic knowledge of Henry VIII's reign covering his Inheritance and Earl Reign, Government and Parliament with Wolsey and Cromwell, Foreign Policy and the Break with Rome, Society and Rebellion and Religious Change. Anyhow it should be useful and perhaps even a little enjoyable?

A tale as old as time. Dad works hard saves money, leaves kid with everything.

Rich kid blows all the money goes through a string of unsuccessful marriages.

Oddly enough, I had watched the entirety of the SHOW Time not so miniseries called The Tudors - my husband and I were addicted to that show. Many years have passed since it was first on - and just a few weeks ago I decided to get a Netflix account and I watched it once again - as it was a very well done production and for the sheer nostalgia of watching it, especially since my Son Julien liked it a lot too - he was about 11 or 12 when it came out, since then my Son passed away at just 13 years old and my husband and I have been divorced for many years since the death of our Son - marriages these days hardly survive such a blow. Anyway, as I mentioned, I had rewatched it and I watched the last episode tonight... Then, I got the creepiest vibe since at the end, it read Henry the Eighth died on January 28th 1547 - then I suddenly realized TODAY is January 28th! Of all the days I could possibly have watched the whole thing and finished it up TODAY the exact anniversary of his death when I honestly did not pay attention as to the exact day he passed away - well, that's just plain freaky! Well, "Happy Farewell to this Earth Day" to one of the most notorious of Kings, Henry the Eighth!

This Thomas Cromwell sounds like he won't ever have any descendants who are famous.

HenryVIII has a link to your Welsh flag vid. Due to Hal bringing Wales into a personal union with England we got cover and some would say hidden by the Cross of St George! The royal arms did have a Red Dragon support until that Scots bloke took over in 1603.
Great video as ever.

8:57 appears a slight typo my dude. Says 1434 when 1534 is being discussed. Great job over all and I only mentioned it because your high video quality. Keep up the work man !

Ahh, Henry the VIII a controversial figure, you did a good job of actually looking at the reasons behind his life. Often times people just yell that he killed and divorced his wives. There's always more to talk about on Henry VIII, but you did a very nice summary I LOVE HISTORY

My 15th great grand aunt Anne Boleyn was quite the interesting woman. Without her and Henry, the world we know today would be very very different. Unfortunately for Anne, it opened the door to her own terrible end. But Cousin Elizabeth showed Henry VIII that a woman could be a queen. I love studying the Tudor Period and the English Monarchy in general.

What is the piece of music used at 8:12? I couldn't find it in the list of music you used, and I'm only familiar with the tune from the Eluveitie song "Momento."
