Steve, As you know many two cycle string trimmers, hand-held leaf blowers, etc., have friction-fit fuel lines going through holes in the tank. They do not gave a gasket per se or a one piece assembly with a seal but only fuel lines that fit somewhat snugly in holes in the tank. They often seep when the fuel level is at or above where the line goes through the hole in the tank. Even new and very pliable fuel lines can allowing seeping. Keeping the fuel level a bit under where the fuel lines exit the tank prevents this. The tool can be positioned that way until used again. But you already know this!

My neighbor had the very issue with a Toro 4 stroke....nothing in owners manual on this. Loved your description - "Cheap Crap"

I have a +20 year old 4 stroke Honda and store it vertically during the growing season and horizontally over the winter.

I have a dedicated flat shelf going across 3 wall studs in the garage, so I lay mine flat. It's a 2 stroke Echo. It just looks like a more natural position to be in with no stress from hanging.

I was just about to comment on the 4 stroke trimmers. Craftsman has one. I had a customer bring one in because the pull start wouldn't budge, they thought the pull start needed to be replaced. Turns out the engine was flooded with oil because of how it was stored.

Have two trimmers at two different homes. A two stroke that I just set it on the shed floor horizontal and the other is a Craftsman four stroke unit and I leave it on the garage floor, also horizontal. Now I also have a electric branch trim "chainsaw" and no matter what the bar oil leaks out. That one gets drained out at the end of each usage.

Even though I don't have a 2 stroke, I always learn something. Thanks you 2..

Good to see April. Also good to see April helping out with the Q & A instead of just handing you the brew of the day. I have only 2 stroke brush cutters. I hang them vertically engine up. No problems. Looking forward to more Q & A videos. Cheers.

I have a question for you Steve. Can we get a tour of your shop? I don't recall ever seeing past the orange bench, other than outdoor shots.

I have a four stroke yard man grass trimmer and love it has plenty of power no mixing gas.

I prefer to store my Stihl FS250 brushcutter flat with gas cap up. But if it has been run dry for winter, it makes sense that a 2 stroke won’t care. Good video!👍
