Using LEGO Marvel Constraction Parts In Bionicle MOCs

The old Super Hero Constraction sets were great! Let's see how we can use their parts and revamp the sets!

I find it interesting that the designers tried to bulk these figures up pretty much exclusively with the core CCBS system and little to no technic.

that headpiece at 11:21 is stellar! i wouldve never thought in a million years to do that kind of thing. also, the leaves at the joints really sell the design for me.

I got that Green Lantern set for my birthday back in the day, which made me especially excited when Bionicle G2 came out and I bought Lewa. Then I had all the bright green armor pieces CCBS ever granted us! The two sets complement each other very well.

My reasoning for the existance of Iron Man's turret is that the designers couldn't recreate the circle openings on his palms to replicate his iconic palm blasters with just basic ccbs fists but they still had to give him some hi tech weaponry because, you know, it's ironman.

I had gotten these sets for the parts for my Bionicle and Hero Factory MOC making and had even purchased some extra parts from Bricklink. I think I had reused these pieces for different MOCs from time to time since sometimes I would make a Hero Factory MOC specifically based upon the exclusive parts included in these sets but after some time I took those MOCs apart as I didn't like them anymore. But I did find some better uses for the parts in newer and better MOCs.

Here's a list of what I used some of these parts for in my modern MOCs and revamps.

Batman - The blue armor was useful for revamping Dragon Bolt from Hero Factory as well as the 2015 Toa Gali.

Green Lantern - The green feet I was able to use to revamp the 2015 Toa Lewa as well as those feet and armor for a green-colored Hero Factory Hero MOC.

The Joker - The torso worked well for the aforementioned green HF Hero MOC I mentioned before and the purple parts were useful for making a purple-colored Hero Factory Hero MOC. It did help that Voltix had the torso in purple.

Hulk - I think at one time I used the chest to make a lime-green XL HF Hero, but now it is used on my MOC of Sweet Pete's hybrid monster form from Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers. The hands I think I used in a more recent HF villain MOC.

Captain America - I didn't see very many useful pieces from this set, but those red armor pieces were quite nice. I think I used those in some of my Hero Factory MOCs.

Iron Man - I used some of the gold pieces to create a gigantic Kagarak MOC from Bionicle 3: Web of Shadows.

I didn't have much use for the head pieces and had sold most of those online. The exceptions to this would be that I repainted a Joker head to create a MOC of I.M. Meen, which I still have built today; and the Iron Man head to create a MOC of Ultraman, although that one I've disassembled, but maybe I'll make a better MOC as I still have the head.

I think the heads are consistently the worst parts of these sets when it comes to using them for MOCs.

I had the 3 DC ones as a kid and I loved them! Green Lantern is a great accessory pack for a G2 Lewa

I love your videos. I’ve been binging and bunch of these and now I’m wishing I was good at this/had pieces to make cool mocs like these. That’s how you know you make good videos, when people watch them and are inspired to do the things you show. Bravo to you!

The goofy ahh superheroes definitely had some decisions made in the design process. Oh my. But parts are parts, it's all about what you can do with them later than worrying about the actual sets, although buying them would definitely make you question how they got to shelves looking the way they did.

The Batman one was a childhood set of mine and I still love it to pieces.
Maybe you could use all the gunmetal gray pieces to make some sort of combo figure

I understand that Lego doesn't want to do Specifically Moulded specialized pieces anymore, But they really shouldn't have retired the entire CCBS System, They should have at least kept the Bones and shell pieces.
MOCs have shown how well System and CCBS can blend together and I can't help but think if they kept those generic Shell and bone pieces that Today's buildable figures e.g. the spider-man, Batman, Cap usa, wolverine figures wouldn't look so awkward and use fewer piece so hopefully they wouldn't be 53 AUD A FIGURE!! Jesus, Lego.

I had no idea that some of the pieces I got from these sets were exclusive (in terms of color)! I use some of those pieces regularly in mocs.

I remember getting all of these guys, I scrapped cap and iron man to upgrade hulk. I also ended up using pieces from joker and green lantern to make what could kind-of be called my hero factory self moc, good times.

Recently i found out about a chinese lego-like company Qman doing CCBS style sets offically based on Ultraman which blowed my mind with how much better they were than these, I definitely recommend you try look em up. I found out through another Bionicle youtuber OSSO
