Fortissax’s Lightning Spear tells us that Fortissax was known as “the mightiest boulderstone”; the strongest ancient dragon to have fought in the war against Leyndell. I think this theme is for the living nightmare Fortissax must’ve been in his prime. A force of absolute, inescapable destruction, only shaped like a dragon to give you the vain hope of survival.

The main problem with Fortissax is that its hidden before either Valiant Gargoyles, or Mohg the Omen and Morgott. One is a bs gank battle that basically requires you to be overleveled unless you're a souls veteran, and the other requires you to complete and clear both Leyndell and the Shunning Grounds, which will probably overlevel you. You also have to complete D's, Rogiers, D's brother, Ranni's quest partially, and Fia's quest to even access the boss.

I didn't know Fortissax had phase 2, I deleated him within seconds.

I'm using this one for a DND Dragon boss fight! Malekith was epic, but this is Legendary!!! It also reminds me a little bit of Shin Godzilla.

I find it funny how everyone wasn't able to experience this banger of a song because they were overleveled; I on the other hand am the complete opposite. On my first playthrough, I thought Fia was crucial to my survivability so I went straight into Deeproot Depths to get more Blessings (thus doing her questline). Fighting Fortissax as my 1st dragon (I skipped Agheel) was more than a struggle for me

My setup sucked when i fought him so i had a great battle. Heard the entire soundtrack. Majestic battle for sure.

Something I really love (and im not sure what instrument it is, maybe organ or harpsichord?) but its the constant very faint notes being played in the background that remind me of stars. The notes have this eerie tune of underlying tragedy and a fall from graces, like the stars just barely out of sight but still present are haunting Fortissax
