I’m no expert but I believe that is sort of an attention/ flock call. I have two males that do similar sounds when they suspect someone is near. They will often transition into singing when the short screeches don’t work.

It’s super rare, and I haven’t heard her do it in years, but my little cutie (almost 20 years old now) used to do this cute little sing-song, hard to describe it, and she’d only do it when nobody was around lol, though I could hear her from upstairs 🤣 she learned to develop a way of communicating with me based on the way I’d whistle at her. Very cute 🥰

My female cockatiel used to mimick an ad song, so we thought she was a male then she laid some eggs 😂, and once she grew up she stopped singing, that is reason she is named leo, I love female cockatiel they are so adventurous and wild, of course I love the males they sing beautifully and very clingy and emotional from day one.

Mine used to call to me like that. If I was in another room I would sometimes call 'Come on, then' and she would fly from room to room looking for me, using the call chirp every few seconds.
