Both pedals are now available in one convenient metal housing, and it comes with selectable signal routing. The Boost Section comes with Boost Level, Drive, and Hi-Cut controls. The Compressor Section comes with Komp Level, Sustain, Blend, and Clip controls. The Masamune has an external foot-switch jack Input, you can easily operate the pedal by using an additional remote switch.

What type of compression does this use? I can't seem to find that anywhere. Optical, FET, VCA, multi band?
I'm assuming, considering the price, that it's either FET or optical.
I'm looking for a compressor/boost or OD combo, due to some constraints I have. I was assuming I would probably go with the Keeley Aria. The price is right and I always loved my old 2-knob comp (if you'd told me all those years ago that Keeley will be making a comp with blend/tone and attack for $130 new, I'd say you were crazy; the old 2 knob was like $220 for Christ sakes).

My Masamune makes a little noise. Is it normal? Maybe I need some noise gate?

Almost 2 years and it broke 6 days before the end of warranty. I will never give money to this brand again. Im glad I didnt buy the amp simulator. I chose boss instead.

I just notice in komp once the sustain is in 11 oclock or above it gets noisy for me to avoid it i must set the sustain in 9 oclock only or 8. Then i will put the level in 12 oclock and the blend in 12 also. The boost must be level in 12 oclock and the drive is 11 oclock. Because the sustain is really noisy much more when you are using Big Amps or 100 watts amps
