Discover how materials are a key component for the growth of the 3D printing industry with HP Jet Fusion 3D applications at RAPID 2016.

On May 17, 2016 HP Inc. unveiled the world's first production-ready commercial 3D printing system, sparking a reinvention in design, prototyping and manufacturing. The first commercial 3D printing solution based on an open platform, the HP Jet Fusion 3D Printing Solution will create the highest quality physical parts, produce parts up to 10 times faster, and at half the cost of current 3D print systems.

Unveiled at RAPID, the largest 3D additive manufacturing conference, the HP Jet Fusion 3D Printing solution leverages HP's decades of research and expertise in precision mechanics, microfluidics and materials sciences. By printing functional parts for the first time at the individual voxel level (a voxel is the 3D equivalent of a 2D pixel in traditional printing), HP offers customers an unprecedented ability to transform part properties and deliver mass customization.

I use the HP Latex printer for printing custom hydrographic film! Latex inks are the only ink that have the vibrancy and color that makes happy customers. It works FANTASTIC on 3D Printed Parts! Are there any other folks out there that print hydrographic film with their HP Latex printer? Do you use it on your 3D Prints?

Consumer printers? Will there be online print ordering where customers can upload their designs and HP will print for them?

This looks cool....Kodak didn't jump on the Digital Camera era until it was too late, although they invented it.
HP seems to realize the 3D printing era is exploding and don't want to make Kodak's mistake.

I want to print devices with electrical circuits, I want to make custom shaped LED's, someone needs to step on the accelerator pedal and speed innovation up faster.

For the small entry price of 200, 000 USD!!! So cheap. I'm really waiting for a home use of a 3D printer like this... Can we have that, please??? I guess we won't have that until HP finds a way to capitalize on the 3D printing material like they do with 2D printers...
