Ash - you are a pleasure to watch! I'm a 70 year old now playing Raid, and have learned a great deal from you! I'd love you to do a step by step guide on how to build an arena team when one is not pulling great champs from shards. I'm struggling at 6 months in, still in silver, because I'm not gaining great artifacts and even fewer champs. My best ones so far are the free champs from the daily log-ins. Thanks!

I was free to play up until a month ago, and even then I only spent 20 bucks on a decent tome deal and 10 on a gem pack. And haven't spent a dollar since...so pretty much still free to play... I was able to get a freaking Raglin from a super lucky single void shard pull that I got from DT hard. I got a single book from cb (since I had already used the tomes to put into another champ) and put it into Raglin and BOOM right into Miracle. I was able to finally beat DT Hard and I got so excited I put a video up of how I did it with stats masteries and obviously what champs were used...I was so freaking proud.

Ash, I'm a new player, roughly 3 weeks in. I've spent maybe $20 total just due to having Google Play credit from taking surveys. I'm also a deaf gamer, with some accessibility issues. So watching this older video, really made me feel comfortable. Despite losing my hearing 11 years ago, I love classical music. I feel music vs hearing it, if that makes sense. I'm so tempted to drop more money into the game for 2 reasons: chickens/time, and support the devs. But I also know I'm just a drop in the bucket vs those who spend thousands upon thousands, like you said. So thanks for making this video, and I look forward to more F2P type guides for things like Faction Wars, Potion Dungeons, etc.

Its a real bummer the F2P is going away, but as someone who did the same as for having a spender account and a F2P account i can relate. I quit my F2P account after about 2 months of playing because i ran into the same issue of time, just dont have time to play on both accounts and that made me become bored with the game so i had to quit the F2P to enjoy the game again and focus on just one account. Anyhow you content is amazing and love watching you, and for a chance i wanna shoutout your editor as well who also does an amazing job editing the video's. Keep up the good work the real fans always have your back Ash!

I have a decided when you started yours to do one of my own. I do a month on my pay account and a month on the f2p. Which gives me the opportunity to get the great deals on the pay account after my month on the f2p. Otherwise i wouldn't be able to do either .

Books are a constant problem. My new f2p has been 'blessed' with 5 leggo champs already. I can't book out any of them, trying to get Lyssandra booked first but it is a grind until you unlock UNM CB which is quite hard without booked out champs.

Progress is slow but rewarding and it is a different problem to my main where I do spend.

As a f2p I agree time is the biggest problem. Just upgrading masteries and booking is a huge issue for me. I do enjoy competing against spend

My. Biggest problem is getting Cleo out of my portal vault. I was going to use her for Gaius fusion but completed it without having to use her. I only pull if I need for champion chases. Have 3 Legos and 4 epics waiting, also resources for 2 Relic keepers.

That's exactly what people need to realize, your progression where you are in the game should only matter to you and it does not matter where anybody else is sitting in the game. If you are a free to play player and someone else spent hundreds or thousands of dollars to get to the same part as you in a tenth of the time, who cares? This game is essentially a giant single player campaign, except they make it feel like an online community with clans and that's it.

Totally agree about the books man. And I appreciate your honesty when it comes to the cost of this game. I've only been playing for 3 months. I have an annual budget for video games, and this game pretty much sucked it up in those 3 months. What sucks is that, compared to other games I play, I get a lot less in return. For example, one of my favorite games is League of Legends (LoL). At any moment I know I can go and play PvP and PvE in LoL whenever I like, but in Raid you've got time/monetization gates across nearly everything (energy, dungeon timers, tournaments, CvC, RNG gear upgrades, etc.). After getting a feel for this game over the last few months, I've come to realize how heavily Plarium monetizes this game is just not cool so I've decided not to invest money in it any longer. Actually went and picked up an old school RPG (Divinity Original Sin 2) and have been having a blast in that game...and I only had to pay $30 one time.
