I really hope the d-pad is good, if it is then it seems like the perfect controller for me, the fact that you still have access to a right stick seems like a small thing but for SF6 world tour and just lobbys in fighting games in general this is really nice, I do get kind of annoyed with my fightpad in these situations and most fighting games have some sort of situations where they expect you to be on a normal controller.

this looks like an end game controller for me. I've been on the hunt for a great fighting pad that can also play other games (not just fighting games) with dual analog sticks. But as you mentioned in the vid, it will depend on how well that d-pad performs.

It having a right stick alone, makes it worth a try. No more mental gymnastics trying to navigate menus, the battle hub, etc.

Yes bro, im not sure how you feel about the commander octa controller 🎮 but i absolutely hate it! I always end up changing the settings on the back of the controller whether its the system settings or lock settings...anyways hoping the next controller is better designed. Hope your well bro 👊

have they fixed the shoulder buttons which can easily break off ?? that's what happened to mine after like two months, I'm sorry but I'm not spending money on another OCTA, they need to go back to producing their older models and make improved versions of those cause those were the best, I used a fighting commander 3 for like two years and that thing had amazing durability it was the best

I sanded down the dpad on the original hori octa a bit too much. Still looking for the dpad to fix it :(. Will probably do it again and try to fo a better job. Dpad protrudes too much for my comfort. But dpad part is not available anywhere unfortunately..

Along with hoping that the dpad internals are better (based on JP reviews, I'm hearing that it's not...), if this pad just has better grips than the OG Octa then I would be happy. Just wish they refreshed the fighting commander...

About the price, if it ticks all the boxes with little to no caveats, I'd easily call it a bargain. I'm already stuck with the normal octa as my most comfortable controller for sf6 so I'm very eager to get my hands on this one.
