Many, but not all, of the US admirals and generals are exceptional executive leaders. It's a shame on the nation that the last that served in the White House was Ike. Even a mediocre admiral or general vastly outstrips the executive leadership of the 'best' senator (if one exists).

A joke was going around when I was in the Middle East that went, "An Arab moderate was one who only held a grudge for seven generations." Let's hope the Iranians are more forgiving than that.

Thank you, Scott, for extending your guest list to those with such diverse areas of expertise. Stavridis has such a large body of knowledge, well beyond his obvious military specialty. This was an intriguing interview, & I appreciate your preparation for the questions you posed to the admiral.

My question is transition related - We all know the acceptable definition of insansity and how it relates to expectations - The level of choice that the two groups with the most power have habitually made for a long time is SUB STANDARD for the most part - WE NEED to work on maintaining the groups through evaluation by some sort of a third party group that isn't OWNED by anyone accept "For the people By the people" type of a thing!

The minute this guy spoke about the Palestine Israeli issue is the minute he lost most of his credibility.

Yeah, I don’t buy the whole Taiwan ruse either. China have nothing to gain and everything to lose from such an excursion.

However, a land expansion towards the northwest makes a lot more sense. Maybe not by force but rather by sowing internal dissent in Russia.
