Shock resistant does not mean crush resistant. It was build to resist G forces (therefore G-shock), not heavy weight.

The 12$ one is only 10% of the original’s price, but took almost 50% of the weight the original one took. So certainly, I’ll go for the 12$ product because it is 90% cheaper but also 50% capable of the original one.

I thought it was an impact resistance test, but it was a pressure resistance test.
If you want to get a good score in the pressure resistance test, simply make the outer shell made of tough metal.
G-Shock has a model with a titanium alloy outer shell, so I recommend you to use that for the test.
However, being hard is not the same as being strong.
