With a combined population 2.5 billion, of which over 60 per cent is aged 29 or under, the Commonwealth bloc represents vast untapped potential to drive trade, investment and leadership in climate change, healthcare, digital technologies, innovation and sports. Having often gone under the radar, could the Covid-19 pandemic finally give this bloc of nations the stimulus it needs to unleash its potential? And how can India, which, comprises roughly 1/6 of the Commonwealth’s combined GDP and over half of the Commonwealth’s 2.4 billion population, play a role in this journey?
