Its not TCP APP you want its one called SMART LIFE, just follow intructions that are the same as tcp ones but this one actually works. used that got it done with no probs

The app dose not appear in my Alexa app even when I search for it

The Android mobile TCP Smart app installs easy and works well with my TCP smart lamp, but....connection to Alexa, as shown in this video, was a complete fail - came here from a link on their website - this YouTube video refers to a skill that is no longer available on Amazon\Alexa (TCP Smart Home), if you do find it by a backdoor it doesn't work. So instead I went to the TCP Smart App on my Android mobile and used the "in-app instructions", weirdly this refers to a completely different skill (Smart Life by Tuya - blue logo), this activates okay but simply never discovers the TCP Smart Lamp. Save yourself the many hours I wasted - just install the Tuya skill instead- the one with the red logo, Alexa immediately finds the device and works just fine. TCP really need to update their in-App instructions, website link and YouTube channel to save us all some time and grief!!

Wish I bought a different make, these tcp plugs just won’t connect, it says check your internet but the internet is working fine. Tried a dozen times at least, it’ll be getting sent back.

Worst brand in the smart home category. Not only do you have to jump through hoops to get it to connect to WiFi.. alexa can't find it. I've bought bulbs and sockets from amazon that you plug in and Alexa finds them straight away... don't even need third party apps

Tearing my hair out with my WIFI oil radiator connects to wifi no prob .Smart TCP links with Alexa can't see any new devices . Tried it with Google nest sailed through and connected but no matter how much I try cannot get Alexa to see it as anew device even although it is linked as a skill

what a bunch of rubbish - even in the film, the app only scores 2.5 stars - their own bloody film shows how thi bad app does not work for the majority of users
