I'm also enough with 1080p60fps handheld mode and I handheld only. I have Switch Lite. Played TOTK, BOTW, Hogwarts Legacy & Witchers 3 on it more than 100 hours each game. Really want Switch 2 asap

As a Nintendo fan, I kind of disagree with your whole argument of "Nintendo games don't need 4K". I remember as a young kid saying things like the graphics in Contra on the NES are perfect. I couldn't imagine how they could get better. Are you seriously telling me that Games like Zelda couldn't benefit from modern tech and fidelity? Sure, Tetris probably doesn't need high levels, but then again, there are those who are serious players that would argue the extra FPS would help their gameplay be more precise.

Nintendo is doing pretty okay in balancing graphic fidelity, processing prowess, and price, but I think it's foolish to single out Nintendo games as not needing to be inline with the competition. If they can do it, at a good price while continuing their excellent gameplay, why not?!

yeah it's weird how no one is actually discussing how the power of the new system is going to create more impressive games. Everyone's so much more concerned with backwards compatibility and two screens. No one's thinking about the fact we're gonna get a Zelda game that looks as good as Ghost of Tsushima and Fire Emblem that looks like Tales of Arise.

Why do people keep saying "all it needs to do is 1080/60 fps?"

The hardware can't FORCE games to do that. Developers have to prioritize that. The Switch CAN do that, but developers choose not to. Even Nintendo- look what they prioritized with Paper Mario TTYD- they CHOSE to cut the FPS in half to focus on better visuals.

The Switch 2 will be trying to run current gen games that the PS5 & SX can't even get to hit 60 fps. The Switch 2 will have to cut those games back even more.

Expect Series S levels of visuals & performance for games, if not worse (but with DLSS in some games to help). We know the Switch hardware already. PS4 specs but with DLSS & more modern mobile parts.

People need to think about things more reasonably. It's great to be excited, but people are thinking the Switch 2 will be able to do EVERYTHING.

Even Nintendo won't make every game 60 fps.

If it PS4 graphics it's more that enough the are not many games that is PS5 exclusive.

So that means because most game release on ps4 as well with PS5 that means I will be easier for game to port to switch 2

One thing is for certain. The controllers will be too small and overpriced, the console will cost more than it's worth, the games will be remakes but worse, and everything in between. Nintendo doesn't understand how to not suck; it's in their DNA. Hype is all they have going for them.
