The Rocky Horror Show – live in cinemas...and we've got a sneak peek as the show rehearses for its presentation!

The cult classic musical will be broadcast from the Sadler's Wells Peacock Theatre in London's West End on Thursday 28 October to over five hundred cinemas across the UK and Europe.

With a cast led by Ore Oduba (Brad), Stephen Webb (Frank 'n' Furter), Philip Franks (The Narrator) and Haley Flaherty (Janet), also in the piece are Kristian Lavercombe as Riff Raff, (following more than 1800 performances around the world), with Lauren Ingram as Columbia. Ben Westhead plays Rocky, with Joe Allen as Eddie and Dr Scott.

The Phantoms are Reece Budin, Jordan Fox, Rachel Grundy, Darcy Finden, Danny Knott (male swing) and Stefania Du Toit (female swing and dance captain).

Oduba said today: "I am thrilled to be part of the Halloween live cinema screening of The Rocky Horror Show. It's been a wild ride so far on tour, the audiences have been incredible.

"So we can't wait to share the fun, frolics and frivolity with cinema audiences all over the UK – for one night only!"

The show is penned by Richard O'Brien with direction by Christopher Luscombe, design by Hugh Durant, costume by Sue Blane, choreography by Nathan M Wright, lighting by Nick Richings, sound by Gareth Owen, original arrangements by Richard Hartley, musical supervision and direction by Greg Arrowsmith, associate choreography and direction by Andrew Aherne, associate costumes by Christopher Porter and wig and make-up supervision by Darren Ware. Further creatives are to be confirmed.

I like how Brad and Janet joined the dance. Magenta and Columbia can sure belt out a song.

Imagine being in this cast and working your butt off only to have everyone air their vitriol at you online. Audiences don't appreciate actors anymore it seems. There's a difference between something not being done the way you want and not being done well. If you're going to be stuck up snobs about it, GO WATCH THE MOVIE.

Even if you DIDN'T know that 5 of the principles were covers, couldn't you at least appreciate the performance? Because frankly, (no pun intended, ) this isn't an easy show. Time Warp is freaking exhausting. I'm in a production of it at the moment as Riff Raff- and while it's not a professional production, it's still high energy and a lot of choreography. Wearing black under stage lights gets hot- which I'm seeing a lot of this cast in.

With the knowledge though that 5 of these actors are covers for main roles, give credit where it's freaking due. Understudies don't get practice like the main actors, and that's hard enough. I CANNOT imagine doing this as an //entire group// of understudies together. Please appreciate actors more; we work freaking hard to do a good performance.

And here I am hoping someone picks up this production for a North American tour.

Is this competing with Sweeney Todd for amount of filmed productions or something?

Sorry, I prefer the early 2000s version with Tom Hewitt or the movie. Riff Raffs voice was too high for me, and it seemed too sped up and rushed.

Sadly, it’s become “Broadway-tized.” The lack of spoken parts eliminates the contrast when they sing. What next, the Disney version?

SORRY as, much as I love rocky horror Magenta was lacking something IMHO

Not a fan of Riff Raff here. I don't feel the singing by him matches the music at all.
