It’s very simple technology. Have someone run next to car and when you need to brake just remove the wheels put a screwdriver into the brake callipers, remove brackets and squeeze the pads with 2 fingers. As an added bonus you lost weight on you car by removing the brake master and slave cylinders, hydraulic brake fluid and brake lines.

If the rotor is uneven...you must go to a shop to re-phase it. They make it flat and smooth.

Brake pads are almost 90% gone and the disc shows grooves - unequal wear on the brake disc. Yes, you do need to change the brake pads, but before that phase the disc. Ultimately, you need to get a wheel alignment done. Shortcuts will cost you

Please leave it to the professionals. Don't mess with a safety concern

I'd just replace the pads as they are not expensive, just under $3000 in fact. On another note be carfull on classic cars. Older brake pads could have asbestos in them so you don't want to be sanding them. As before, i'd just replace them.

It’s not called a sump pump it’s called a caliper piston and yes you can change your pads that away but be careful not to mess up your brake booster or master cylinder and once you replace those pads then you must drive and if you get a vibration when braking then you have to go back in and replace your rotors which then they are warped meaning you have to buy new pads because they have seated themselves to that rotor smh why ppl just do it the correct way if you don’t want to pay a mechanic do it correctly instead doubling back on it

So you're your going to install new brake pads on a rotor that has grooves?

jbbadvet

You gotta change the rotors too since they have the gouges from the worn brake pads

you're not doing the brake job right. you have to remove the caliper and secure it so you don't damage the brake lines - then install the new pads and once you back off the caliper piston [you'll have a hell of a time getting the caliper back in place] and tighten everything to spec once the new pads are installed and the caliper is bolted in place. in addition a simple screwdriver isn't the correct tool to back the brake caliper piston back. you also need a new brake rotor that rotor is no good.
