I've only ever had the Avatar Project clock run out once. Stayed up to play "just one more mission" and fell asleep.

In fact, the game tries to cheat in such situations: patrols "accidentally" move directly to your reaper position. One time, a Sectopod stepped on my reaper, going straight through a wall. But maybe it depends on the difficulty level.

Neath - although you miss out on the ability to skulljack a senior officer which reduces the avatar progress by another bar.

I found this strategy on my 2nd play through and figured that a ranger with a wraith suit and mimic beacon as well as a lot of patience does the trick

Hey man good video. Its niche information but it helped me, this game is kinda huge and a lot to learn in it. You should produce more videos man, you are helpful - i think you can be a good source of info.

Works but is not as useful as you'd think.
At the beginning of the game the alien facilities you can unlock have a ruler in them and that mother.... will then appear in your regular missions if you do this wiping your squads and causing you to fail.
When you're as far in the game as to have alien facilities unlocked that don't have a ruler in them you can pretty much stomp the mission with your B or even C squad. It's not a timed mission you can take your time with it and if you really want to you can cheese the shit out of it. Bring a reaper and a sharpshooter and you can scout with the reaper and shoot with sharpshooter squad sight from the other end of the map every turn without any risk. Just keep your soldiers far, far back and the pods will just run around when you shoot at them. Even on legend it's only 11 enemies per facility and only one of them is a gatekeeper or a sectopod.

If u bring a whole team and u have no reapers. Try to get concealed as close by and blow up the wall if there aint no shortcut. U just need to holdout for 1 turn and can safelly extract.

I always bring my reaper on these facility assaults, but never thought to bring JUST the reaper 😂

The solo Reaper strategy works in other areas, too. I once did the first Blacksite with a solo Reaper, though it took a few tries to clear out enough enemies to get at the vial uncontested.

I've done this on missions before too. Feels good being able to smash and grab without taking a single hit.

Had to learn the hard way that there are missons in the game that are better for you if you don't bring the whole crew, but I don't think I would have found this out. Thanks!
