UC Berkeley commencement ceremony peaceful despite loud protests

Thousands of new Cal graduates were happy the commencement ceremony went forward despite the presence of some rather loud protesters. Da Lin reports.

Proud of those who held up Israeli flags given all the anti-Semitism that is rife at Berkeley. "Loud" and "peaceful" are really not the same thing. Reporters keep insisting the protests are peaceful despite evidence to the contrarry.

Everyone complaining needs to STOP!!! Peaceful protesting is our FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHT, and the small “inconvenience” of hearing protests during an otherwise beautiful commencement event is a great BLESSING compared to the FACT that Palestinians literally have had ALL their schools, hospitals, homes, and even limbs (and even entire families) bombed, continuing even as this ceremony was being held. HUGE RESPECT TO THE STUDENTS STANDING AGAINST INJUSTICE; THIS is what TRULY EDUCATED people DO!💯👍🔥🇵🇸

Berkeley is named after an Ango-Irish Philosopher, 1868 Many are disturbed by what is happening. However I feel it is rude not to honor the loss of their High School Graduations.
