I'm giving my dad's monk a crossbow. he's playing a human monk named Chuck Norris.

This feels like another "can people read, anymore?!" Kind of question....

On being questioned about how she's so good at DnD, Emily Axeford of D20 basically replied "I read the book". 😂

I love my big, beefy monk who uses his dumbbells as maces.

The one thing about the monk optional feature is you need proficiency in that weapon so you need to either multiclass or have a race with weapon proficiencies.

When you sum up the class by looking at the picture 😂

My rule of thumb, show me a martial art using that weapon and I will probably allow most weapons.

If you play a thri-kreen astral monk you then get 6 arms.

I like giving monks brass knuckles
Because it’s still technically their fist,
it just has a metal padding

The response to “can monks be armed” is Another absolute reason why I am beginning to love this channel 😂 plus the interest in D&D

I'm personally excited to play a shadow monk that uses daggers so I can be a ninja running round with Kunai.

it’d be cool if there were a subclass that lets the monk incorporate their monk weapons into combat more. they make one attack but then the martial arts bonus action and flurry of blows are both unarmed, even the kensei which is meant to be the weaponiest of weapon monks still ends up using unarmed strikes a lot more or an equal amount to the armed strikes

I like the Tashas rules bit, makes sense that a monk would pick a specific weapon and become specialized in it as part of their training

You give a monk a shield proficiency and you got Captain America… Thank you for coming to my TEDTalk 😛

I love the kensei, it's actually an improvement on using the extra weapons.

I love my necro-warlock/druidic monk. A homebrew race that’s a combination of a centaur and Minotaur in design, but all an elk goat hybrid, He has two antimatter railguns that can also be used as melee weapons by simply touching them to a foe, because antimatter physics. I love exploiting my scientific knowledge in D&D.

I've got a PC who is a dwarf monk so can use the dedicated weapon feature for a battle axe. She cracks skulls with it then punches them also. It's a pretty good combo.
