Man, the director's cut for Chicken Run was way darker than I thought it would be.

Fun fact: Most of the bird species are cannibals. Specially ducks and chickens. Because if they ever develop a taste, be it their eggs or the meat of their own kind, they could easily get addicted.

There's another animated short film where the chickens revolt and invent a time machine to change history thus wiping out a farmer from the history books. It's somewhere on YouTube. :D This is a well done short, didn't involve time travel, though! :D

Funny thing is that if they want to give a new chick its own host body, they'd have to raise a human to adulthood for years to give them a suitable host, and because the number of chickens in this world outnumber humans 3-1, possibly less due to the battles even still, they'd be out of stock of bodies plus the inevitably rotting bodies they inhabit is temporary, so even if you're at the top of the chickens food chain the market for fresh bodies would be astronomically high

And chickens are my favourite animals 😢 it’s heartbreaking to watch this when you have chickens even though I consume chickens often, luckily they do not have reflection and once a chicken is gone they will not live in sadness. This is a really cute and sad animation and thanks to whoever made it as it reached a place in my heart :)

To the makers of this film : It's been over 2 years so I'm sure you find it weird to watch your old student film and your level in animation has gotten better but try to watch it again in 2x speed.
It's actually pretty good ^^
