What fascinates me about the film is what a slightly fantasy time capsule it is, it’s of course not some hard hitting realistic documentary, but more of a dreamy love letter to surfing, however, it does serve as a very interesting through rose colored glasses, time capsule of the early 60s before everything pretty much went to hell Culturally speaking.
