We decided to give the stander a try during out workout. Because Cole doesn't stand often, there is a greater risk of him passing out! Although this can be scary, standing is very beneficial to Cole's health!

Hey everyone, sorry for not explaining exactly why I get so lightheaded in the standing frame. What happens when I stand up is all my blood pools at my feet and in my legs since I'm not able to contract my muscles. Without the blood flow making it to my head I get really lightheaded and will faint unless I lower myself and make it easier for blood to make its way back up. Hope that clears things up a bit! -Cole

I’m a nurse, I work in the ICU and most people, like 90%, have no idea what the real definition of conditions are but they think they do bcuz of what they’ve seen on TV or read on WebMD. And usually the expectation far exceeds the reality no matter the condition/outcome good or bad.

my cousin became quadraplegic 10 years ago, and has the same range of motion as you. Unfortunatly, he has been depressed ever since, and has refused to go out of his parent's basement - where they have built him a convinient room. Gives us hope to see you.

I just discovered this channel last night. Not even sure why it was suggested to me. But, I have been smitten. Watching how much they love each other, and seeing how his wife cares for him is so inspirational. They remind me of the things we all take for granted everyday and how we can all serve our spouses and loved ones better everyday.

Standing frames are a God send! My mom's boyfriend was paralyzed at 17. He died a few months ago at 44. He never used a standing frame. He was a big man (6'7" and about 350lbs) and they didn't have a frame big enough for him. When they finally did have them it was far too late and he couldn't tolerate it anymore. Just seeing your partner eye to eye and see the world from a standing level is amazing.
