Simon Fraser University was a canadian uni team in NCAA Football up until 2022

There *has* been one Canadian school in the NCAA, but not at division 1. Simon Frasier University in British Columbia used to be a division 2 school until very recently.

You could also make the South Central Louisiana State University Mud Dawgs, coached by Bobby Boucher…two years as an independent with a minimum of three preseason top 15 teams on the schedule, followed by year three joining either CUSA or Sun Belt…based on which team has the highest combined win percentage the previous season (no edited schedules for year three onward)

As a Canadian all I can say is it's about time you did this concept. BUT, I can see if this was in real life there would be a fight over Canadian football rules or American football rules being used. Also Varsity Stadium the official stadium of the Varsity Blues only has 5, 000 seats, 10, 000 shy of the NCAA Division 1 minimum so unless they use BMO Field where the Toronto Argonauts play that would be another problem as well as players needing passports to cross the border. Not to mention Ottawa always threatens to pass the bill banning American football leagues in Canada to protect the CFL (I love seeing this I'm just stating the real life problems that would stop this in it's tracks as well as any NFL expansion into Canada)
