I just want to clear up the whole Faerie's Aire and Death Waltz story. While this MIDI piano song is impressive and amazing on its own, it isn't actually John Stump's Death Waltz, but an piano remix of a piano cover/remix of U.N.Owen Was Her? from the Japanese fan-made video game Touhou Project. The real Faerie's Aire and Death Waltz is an impossible-to-play composition written as a joke, and I seriously doubt that any actual MIDI piano versions of it actually exists, nor that it's even possible to create a MIDI file of it.

This John Stump person did not create this song. I would like to clear up all false beliefs on this matter. This song is from the Touhou Project Series in the game Embodiment of Scarlet Devil as the extra stage boss Flandre Scarlet's theme. UN Owen Was Her? was not based on this, this was based on UN Owen Was Her?

No one actually played it.It was created as a joke by a pianist named John Stump.His grandson found it lying around in old files after his death and submitted it online.It's literally impossible to play...that was the whole idea of creating it :D

It also turns out that John Stump was a notorious musical nit-picker. He would actually send letters to musical groups that played out of tune or missed notes during liver performances. A crazy, albeit fitting character quirk if I do say so myself.

U. N. Owen is a entirely different piece than Faerie's Aria and Death Waltz, which is actually a hodgepodge of random notes and includes cues that involve penguins. If you tried to play the Death Waltz, it would sound like complete and utter nonsense. This confusion stems from an arrange of U.N. Owen that was called Death Waltz, and led to all this misnaming and confusion.
TL;DR: Someone is wrong on the internet.

While Faeries' Aire and Death Waltz was written my John Stump as a joke, this is not that tune. This is a remix of UN Own Was Her (granted, a remix that would be physically impossible for a human to play). That actual Death Waltz is pretty shockingly unpleasant to listen to, because it was written as a joke, not as a real piece of music. Also, because it's pretty impractical to involve cows and penguins, which is what the annotations want you to do. XD
