Thank you for this. Would you happen to be able the point me to more sources of old time music from the 1900s to the 1940s, before it became bluegrass?

I'm looking for recordings on CD, or as digital downloads which I do not prefer as they do not have liner notes and do not tend to be able to be ripped to my hard drive in the highest quality possible. I will also accept CDRs, although I do not prefer those because I worry about the longevity of the discs. Sources taken from cassette tapes, reel-to-reel, wires, cylinders, 78, or vinyl records are also accepted provided that the audio quality is good and not too distorted if taken be a microphone. I'm trying to avoid such a hollow audio output when possible.

I prefer to buy everything 'legally' when possible, however I understand that much old time material is only within the hands of private collectors. Again, liner notes, label artwork, and cover art or sleeve artwork is also very beneficial to me.
