i feel sorry for many of you. i dont have many friends in the war but my cousin just lost a close friend. It takes something special to be in the army and i luck up to them. Reading all your comments and listening to all "the soilders" songs i have tears in my eyes. Those people who have bad things to say you obv need to think harder ... just back away ... So on behalf of many of us i want to say a big thank you to those fighting in the war it takes a lot of courage. xx

I'm an American, but this song transcends borders. God bless every man and woman who puts on a uniform, swears an oath to country and King, but he temporal or transcendant. God bless all our allies, but most especially the citizens of the UK, our kith and kin. God willing, everybody will be home for Christmas next year.

What a beautiful song, a very sad time of the year to be without you loved ones. Believe me I know I lost my lovely husband five years ago through natural causes and I hate it, and i can't begin to know what it must be like to loose a loved one through war. i did 12 yrs in the forces and was away at xmas for 4 of them, so i know how they feel
