Greek myth of King Midas tells us an important moral life lesson..."Money can't buy true happiness and love". If we had this power it should b like Bob Bishop in Heroes and Sylvia in spinoff Heroes: Reborn who used it at will, and wasn't on 24-7. We also should have a reverse switch too. FYI, if I had this I would use it to help my family with the bills in full, along with charities (hospitals, homeless shelters, orphanages etc.). Work is only to keep me active since too much fun with plenty of free time would get boring after a while.

If you touched the ground only the grains of dirt and sand your hand touched would change. Not the entire crust. Also you could wear butchers gloves. Witch is like chain mail. This video has a lot of errors.

MM, this depends how the gold power works. Everything you touch is gold? Okay, well you can make a barrier like you mentioned with the gloves... but couldn't you just make some gold, and then ask someone to order a gold gloves with room for finger movements? The power shouldn't just turn gold into... gold again, no? If true, then you have a work around for most things. A bodysuit custom made of gold could help with your clothing situation. With some really talented tailors, could possibly help with the intimacy issues, just would always be in a clothing-condom I suppose. No procreating, and probably not as enjoyable.

Only limit I think would be whether you could eat or not. Is the power localized in your hands or is it all of your skin? If just hands, you might be okay using gloves or golden utensils. If all skin, maybe a golden straw to suck up blended food. If all of your body including tongue... well, you're dead.

Also, touching the earth wouldn't necessarily change the whole planet. More likely, just the local soil you touched. Might be more dangerous if you touched the ocean, depending the potency of the power and its limits.
