This was done tastefully. I have a lot of respect for Jesse for bringing awareness to issues like this. Its really dangerous and not something we should be normalizing. Help is out there.

Seeing this video 5 months late. I'm from Laredo Tx. Also a border town. What the nutritionist said is absolutely right. Growing up we're fed all this delicious Mexican food, but we live a pretty active lifestyle. Eating the same food as an adult with a sedentary lifestyle has definitely taken a toll on my health and my body. I'm hoping to get back on track this year with motivation from your videos and other fitness youtubers. Stay relentless!!

Not often will you see fitness influencers actually take physical action to try help people to be more fit and making health a priority as apposed to just making entertainment videos. Huge respect man, literally going to try help an entire city in person. Super inspirational.

Great video!
As a native Texan I'm so glad you went to McAllen. You're not a shallow fitness streamer. You have a big heart.

"Rudy can't walk anymore."

That's the ultimate trap right there. When you're so obese you can no longer even move you've put yourself in a position where losing that weight is now EXPONENTIALLY harder.

As a mexican myself who lives in mexico, the 2nd most obese country, Coke really makes an impact on our healthcare. An it is important to mension, that in many comunities, people can get a coke way much easier than a water. In my family, we usually have aguas frescas, made with fres fruit, however, almost everyone prefers a coke rather than an agua fresca. Plus, the incredible gastronomy we have.

I've never watched one of your videos before. Definitely glad I clicked on this one. Not struggling with weight or anything. I eat healthy and work out regularly. Just glad to know you're a decent person trying to help others with the fortunate life you were given. Definitely a subscription from me.

I've lived in the RGV for 10 years. I liked seeing a lot of the culture shine through in this video! There's also some other factors that weren't mentioned in this video:
- There are only 2 seasons in the valley. Hot and hotter. It makes going outside and exercising less appealing when you're already sweating sitting at your kitchen table.
- The infrastructure isn't in place to encourage people to walk outside. I'm sure you noticed it while driving around, but there aren't a lot of sidewalks in the Valley. It makes you feel like you need a car to get around. This coupled with the heat turns walking to the store to get a few items into a daunting task.

Brandon is spot on. Both my parents were obese and had very bad eating habits, especially my dad, and being a daddy's girl, I picked up the bad habit from him and hit 200 lbs by age 11; 260 by 15. I was born with high blood pressure and the weight didn't help, ended up affecting my vision by my late teens, so I had to make a change. Just bummed it took me becoming half blind to make a change.

Just watched the video with Rudy at fat camp yesterday and this one popped up this morning. Wow! He was really inspiring to accidentally see that process backwards. Rudy has made so much progress and is doing so, so well. I'm sure it felt impossible to him here, but he has done so well! I hope he and his friend are both on their way to getting healhier.

I’m from McAllen, gave myself a wake up call after the pandemic. I’ve gone from 320lbs to 260lbs and I have 60 more to reach my goal weight. This is an amazing video. Thanks for the outreach.

Being formerly obese, thank you for spreading awareness of the dangers and setting a good example for how you should eat and exercise.

Probably one of the most influential, non-clouting and helpful videos I've seen on YouTube in a while. The problem is, Jesse, people do things for entertainment and fame today without making a difference and reaching out. However, you did the exact opposite with the people in McAllen by providing an uplifting and informative video!

This is probably the most heartfelt and important video you’ve ever made. Keep up the great work Jesse! STAY RELENTLESS!
