Jervis - How To Ranked

An example of a typical ranked game where the team left me to largely fend for myself trying to maintain cap control. Shows the strengths of the Jervis smokes, torpedoes and gunpower. My recommended build is at the end as usual.

First: I was kind of sitting back enjoying no carriers/no high-tier DakkaBoats, not realizing that a new and different destroyer play style is possible. (Actually, more like the old pre-radar/hydro/carrier play style.) Thinking outside the box, or perhaps disavowing the whole concept of "box", is one of the many services you provide.
Second, I got badly stalled on the Icarus and had not made it to the Jervis yet. So, you have shown the potential of continuing up the British destroyer line. (Icarus is probably not that bad, I am probably just not playing it right.) I don't generally use Free XP to unlock ships, and had struggled to get as far as ~55K of the 65K required. So I will get off my duff and continue the struggle up the British destroyer line.
I have been doing OK in the Blyskawica, which can do something of the same play style. Somewhat better guns, but torpedoes. . . Well, I'll be nice: yes, it does have torpedoes. Of a sort.

Best WoW video I've seen. Very well thought out reasoning on how to battle with it and explain what and why. Not just blazing away yelling "I smoked him". The incite in your explanations made the video fantastic.

I have only played 6 games of ranked so far this season but I have a 100% winrate because I've only played the Jervis. Such a fantastic destroyer with only 3 weaknesses: Atlanta, Belfast, and Haida. Really brings the powercreep into perspective though * cough * Mahan, Blyska, and Maass * cough *
I'm going for Daring and grinding this ship in ranked is so enjoyable.

I really liked Jervis when I played randoms and I fully agree with your commentary.
One thing came to my mind. Italian DD line flavour should be 10sec smoke. Just to disengage, flee and hinde.
But yeah, WG plans are probably something different.

I love when you explain all your moves, decisions, comment on teammates' positions, etc. WG should make watching this video required to all new players in order to install the game ;-)

Gadjah Mada does outspot a Jervis by roughly 300m - gun arrangement and DPM bring equal. This gives it the option to make minor position adjustments and get the first volley.
You should not underestimate that ship in a Jervis.

Tier 6 in Legends, I’m a new Subscriber and it’s been about a month ago since doing so! I’m a Super Tester for WOW Legends and I’ve done it for a year now! And the game for Console was a year on 16 April, I’m in the process to get a PC to start playing WOW On PC. I believe your a CC (Community Contributor) for PC Version and another ST (Super Tester) recommended me to you, he plays PC as well. Menacing Coyote I believe was the ST. We only go to Tier 7 with the Lighting being our Tier 7 DD for the British Tech Tree, we got the Alaska, Yamamoto and the GK being our new ships to Research in the Bureau so pretty much making them a Tier 8 related, we’ve had some Tier 9s balanced down to being Tier 7 such as the Iowa. I just waiting on my Stimulus to purchase a decent Gaming Rig. So maybe one day we’ll play together. Also I’m really liking your Content, and NoZoupForU was the only one I was watching till I was referred to you! Have a good one, also I’m a disabled Iraq Veteran and I’m home everyday and gaming has been proven to help Combat Veterans with PTSD and I’m a member of #StackUp an Federal Funded Organization for Veterans that’s an Ally with the United States. So if you know anyone that’s still Active Duty or Retired they help to get them a Console and they where trying to do PCs but they just cost way to much but have gotten them built from Orion and had drawings for them!

hey flamu i apreciate the video and the help on how to improve my gameplay. appreciate all tips and help. i just recently found out that there is a key to reload the torpedo tubes on the given settings it is the F key. it automatically reloads the torpedoes. unfortunately it reloads the hole torpedo tubes so if you do not lunch all it will reload them even if left inside. it makes no sense but it is an option if you want.

Tbh this is kind of a poor example for a DD game in Ranked cause of the lack of radar on the enemy team...Normally you get at least one Belfast/Atlanta on each side. Wouldve been so much more interesting to see you play around that and show how a DD can still accomplish its task even if theres radars on the enemy team.
