You might think I'm being a sook, but watching/feeling those boosters erupt on the launch-pad brought tears to my eyes.

SRB shooks the launch pad and that sound never ever gets old, just spectacular how that thing ever gets up and above is some amazing technology. Kudos to NASA and their team

Beautiful launch right at sunrise! The best time to launch IMO. Board the orbiter at night all lit up like a Christmas tree, beautiful backdrop on launch, immediately fly into the daylight illuminated Earth. Spectacular!

This sound is the closest think you can hear that resembles our Sun burning. Temperatures inside the boosters soar to nearly 3, 300°C (6, 000°F), which is nearly two-thirds the temperature of the Sun's surface.

@0:55 "BOOM" - what a sound, in dictionary apps if you look for the definition of RAW POWER - this is it - prob the finest sound display since Saturn V - i so can't wait for the SLS launch, with 2 BIGGER more POWERFUL versions of the Shuttles it is going to trip car alarms worldwide
